Tourism in Athens, as well as in the country as a whole, continues on an upward course in recent years, as the tourism figures for 2024 are now the new reference, having surpassed the 2019 figures in terms of arrivals and revenues.
In Greece, in 2024, international tourist arrivals (excluding cruise passengers) reached 36 million, increased by +9.8% compared to 2023 and +6% compared to 2019. Travel revenue (excluding cruise passengers) increased by +4.3% to €20.6 billion, while cruise revenue recorded an impressive increase of +31.2%.
